Guillerme & Chambron Nesting Tables, France, 1950s
Guillerme & Chambron Nesting Tables, France, 1950s
Rare and refined, this set of three nesting tables by Guillerme & Chambron for Votre Maison, France, 1950s, showcases the duo’s visual vocabulary, defined by angular legs, visible joinery, and the interplay of oak and ceramic.
Each oak table features distinctive angular legs joined by stretchers, with the tabletops inlaid with bullseye-patterned ceramic tiles in tonal browns, greens, and muted ochres. The ceramic tiles are attributed to Boleslaw Danikowski, a frequent collaborator of the designers.
The interplay of oak and glazed ceramic reflects the material warmth and craftsmanship central to Guillerme & Chambron’s work.
